Where's the beer gone?

You’ve probably noticed a lack of discussion about beer in this blog.

I had a chance discussion with Francis Currie over dinner a few weeks ago. I was talking to him about business cards, saying that mine (which have beer on the back) will probably need to be reprinted for the Muslim countries I’m visiting; and then that I should probably think about not blogging about beer any more, because that confuses my ‘brand’ – that is, confuses my ‘radio futurologist’ brand if occasionally I pop along and discuss beer.

He agreed with me that it would confuse my personal ‘brand’. But he then said an interesting thing. ‘We can have more than one personal brand.’

Oh yes!

So, welcome to a brand new beer blog – Beertweet. It has all the beer postings I’ve made here over the past year, and will henceforth contain more beer postings. If you’re into your beer, too, then I’d be rather happy to have a few co-writers. No money in it for you. Yet.

(I’ll still cross-post occasionally to there from here.)

That website again: Beertweet.

And, here’s an almost exclusive for you – something to do with a new Guinness television ad. Excellent!

Hmm, now you’ve given me more pause for thought about whether I should be spinning off ‘local history, nostalgia and ghosts’ into something separate from the mainstream currybet blog. Curses. Still, if you ever need an article about the joys of drinking non-alcoholic lager whilst looking after a new baby…I’m your man!

Boo!

What nonsense.

Yet another blinking feed to follow to keep up with what an interesting person says about beer/radio.
