I forgot to listen but hope to catch the interview...I think the business programme deserves to be podcast and is more interesting and has more content than the daily Wake Up To Money on Radio 5 Monday to Friday 6.30am.

Media Stoat points out that podcasts from Europe appear to allow music within their content.

Any idea if this is so and if this could change?

I have posted quite big entry on Radio and in particular Virgin...hope you think its fair ;-)

Yeah, Andrew Collins, who is doing a 'pretend podcast' of part of his show, suggests that it's to do with 'Government restrictions' - http://www.wherediditallgoright.com/BLOG/2006/12/podcast-news.html

Presumably, the podcasts would have to jump through the Public Service Value Test (or whatever it's called) hoop in order to be rolled out to a wider range of content...??

Which is frankly a bit daft. This is what happens when commercial operators get their knickers in a twist about the BBC innovating...

Don't forget, it's a podcast "trial". They can't add everything I suppose, but at least it's on Listen Again. I believe that once it comes out of "trial" it may have to pass a Public Value Test, and we all know how popular they are with commercial... I think I should stop now.
