And now, ladies and gentlemen, a quick update on what I’ve been doing all week. Edited for accuracy, editorial compliance and embarrassedness.
- is a happy bunny. #
- has put the poppadums he didn’t eat into the cupboard after covering the container with clingfilm. And HAS SUDDENLY REACHED MIDDLE AGE #
- has just blogged about media censorship in Malaysia. Which I guess will get some people worked up. http://ping.fm/vOdRF #
- Yay! New BBC Radio 4 website! Well done, chaps! http://ping.fm/oDatU #radio4 #
- is on the special bus going back to W1 for a meeting then a little drinkie to celebrate Radio 4. #
- Enjoying that there new Pet Shop Boys album on Spotify. It’s rather good. Yay for them. #
- has just had a rather fun meeting in Brewer Street. No, Glasshouse Street. Anyway – beer, anyone? #
- is quite impressed at Skype for the iPhone, even if it is a bit
hobbled by Apple.# - is eating tomatoes while learning about Forge (a swizzy BBC new hosting platform and everything) #
- Watching Obama live in Strasbourg. He is -incredible- at doing this town hall Q&A session. Quite brilliant. #
- What does the new Sky+HD Guide mean for radio? I just dropped a blog – come and find out… http://is.gd/qxzL #
- Audioboo is really cool (an app for iPhone). Like little snippets of talk radio. Very addictive to listen to. Recommended. #
- is listening to Chris Tarrant on the radio for the first time. (Smooth Radio). He’s rather good. #
- UK peeps: add a UK flag to your website. Go on, be proud of what we do online. http://is.gd/qHoz #
- Having odd Twitter API issues (the API is returning only partial info). Not good for Media UK’s listings. Oh well. #
- Brilliant example of why DigitalSpy is awful these days – RT: @matt: Weirdest radio anorak post ever: http://is.gd/qIUO #
- On the train. Using the free wifi. This is pretty decent really. Good for National Express. #
- is doing mediauk.com 404 checking. Dull job. Someone’s got to do it. And that someone’s me. (Mostly scripted, though.) #
- In West Yorkshire. Pretty. http://twitpic.com/2v9jw #
- #beertweet Riverhead’s March Haigh (4.6%) from the brewery tap in Marsden, West Yorkshire. Full-flavoured ale, but rather sweet for me. #
- #beertweet Riverhead’s Legger’s light (3.6%) – incredibly pale, but really very hoppy. Quite tasty. Shame it’s not mine – I only got a sip #
