Randy Newman is probably the funniest, most perceptive and hip 60 something white American guy in existence. Beating even Steve Jobs into a cocked hat.

Sorry james, you called that one wrong.

I was actually there - stopped in on my way back from CES, which is sort of like going to Devon on the way to Glasgow. All the same, I got to finally see the man give a speech. Frankly he's an insane showman. He actually had me convinced to go down to the mac store and buy one of the rubbish laptops with a terrible keyboard just so I could put it in a file envelope and carry it around with me.

However, I think that Time capsule is quite interesting - except I can't figure out if it will support a dual access (PC/MAC) formatted HD - we're still a tri-OS house (or is that Try OS) The movie rental service works flawlessly from my house using my US MBNA visa card - HD too.

Goodbye 4od. Iplayer + Itunes movie hd rental is my new after work veg out.

Think I need a new TV - perhaps a Panasonic 150" ?

"then he stupidly announced Randy Newman, who appeared on-stage I gathered my coat. “I’ve just been to Europe,” he said. “They don’t like us very much,” he added. I’ve heard enough, I thought, and made for the exit."

Big mistake, you missed a corker of an anti-Bush song:
