This device is very expensive and the interface is pretty basic. I am sure that one of the many other internet radio devices could be made more usable for less than half the price.

We bought their Concerto radio for an elderly relative and discovered to our cost just how badly designed their products are. The Concerto is just a top of the range Roberts radio done out in different colours, no attempt had been made to tailor the user interface which was complex and difficult for even a trained engineer.

I'm always amazed and impressed at the gadgets they come up for those with impairments, especially for the partially sighted and those completely sightless.

In this case, its great to think there are people innovating for such a cause and it really puts a lot of the work that we in the Radio Industry do in sharp relief.

We would all do well to remember that radio can be the most inclusive broadcast medium for all sorts of people, above Internet, TV and other forms.
