Radio at the Edge – get yer audio ‘ere

Posted on Monday, November 17th, 2008 at 8:34pm. #

Marvellously, and unbeknown to me, the audio for Radio at the Edge is now online. Excellent news. You can hear the audio from every session – even Leo Laporte’s Norman Collier impression – on the Radio Academy website.

The podcast is well worth a listen – with Fi Glover, James Ashton, and maybe even… me. I wonder if I manage to get beer into this podcast. I think I’m off to listen.

(Apparently, I don’t – I was asked what the plans were for next year, and I said “Not sure yet, but the plans for tonight involve a beer”. And they cut it out. Miseries! It’s nicely put together, though a de-ummer (and de-stammerer) would be good!)

That’d be “every session” bar the last “uncompliant” one which is available elsewhere…

I join James in recommending the short Radio Academy podcast (13 mins) which managed to grab the essence of a really enjoyable day. You can see that some radio stations are struggling with the cross-media future, but there are also a whole host of new ideas and formats that are coming out of the lab and are starting to produce good numbers. Well done to James et al for organising this highlight of the radio year.
