Google Codesearch: making things very simple

Posted on Sunday, October 8th, 2006 at 6:47pm. #

I decided today was the day that I stop linking directly to Flickr, and instead link to my own photos page instead (to coincide with my posting some more archive photographs from 1999).
So, after reading about the launch of Google Codesearch, I reckoned this might help. So, I toddled along to the Google Codesearch homepage and searched for lang:php flickr to find something that might be useful. And, hey presto, I found something.
Half an hour later, I’d sorted out both a better front-page display and a decent photo page with larger photos and my own scribbly writing. Excellent. I quite like this codesearch thing – re-inventing wheels no longer necessary.
