Get free internet television…

I’ve been beta-testing Joost for a while (though I’m apparently still under NDA, so can’t say how good it is or what it does, which is odd, because everyone else is, I notice.)
Anyway – if you wanted to give it a try (PCs and IntelMacs only) then pop along to their website before Thursday, and you’re apparently guaranteed to get a place on the beta, before they permanently close their beta test to prepare for a live launch “soon”.
It’s really very good, and there’s some excellent content on there – including (gosh) Viacom, apparently. Irritatingly, my Mac Mini is only PowerPC-based, so I can’t use it on the telly. One day, I’ll upgrade. One day.

You mention the “excellent content” – is there anything on there yet you think would appeal to ‘normal’ UK people? (Well OK, UK people who are prepared to listen to American podcasts like TWiT etc.)
I only ask as the Apple ITMS is *still* yet to provide us with any films or TV shows…
And is there any live broadcasting or is it all based on downloads over P2P – if latter I’m not really sure how useful it is to have a live chatroom if everyone watching is at a different point in the programme..
