Well, I’ve had my iPod touch for a couple of months now and I’ve been VERY impressed with it so far. I’d have to say be careful with updating though, mine got somewhat bricked and it took a lot of effort to restore after trying (and failing) to update to 1.1.2

Although its not nearly as pretty as an Itouch, and doesn’t do the audio bit nearly as well, surely the Nokia N800 tablet still has to be way ahead here? They’re currently selling for £240 (when they reach sub £200 I think I’ll give in) but its all open source, you can listen to streaming radio in many flavours – with a built in speaker too – and you get all the email and calendar things (plus many third party apps) that have been deliberately crippled on Apple’s version.

It’d be interesting to read a comparison from someone who owns both…

I just got my iPod touch in the mail today and it’s very cool so far. Thanks for the tips, I’m a bit lost with it already and I’m going to take a look at some of the stuff you mentioned.
