Can I come and visit in Asia?

In September, I mentioned my plans to do a ‘world tour’ – visiting radio stations and associated companies across the world, to learn more and share knowledge.
I’ve been presenting a short, 30-minute, presentation about clever things the UK radio industry has done: a presentation designed to interest techies, radio programmers, and strategists alike. It’s had a lot of good response from the people who’ve seen it, and it’ll continue to be updated as I visit more of the world. I’m happy to come and present this to anyone during my travels, as a thank you for learning more about what radio is up to in other areas of the world.
And I’ve still a lot of blog posts to write from my experiences in Canada and the US. Thankfully, I’ve a long plane ride tomorrow, where there’s no chance of electronics being banned or anything by a short-sighted knee-jerk reaction by the TSA. Cough.
Anyway, here’s where I’ll be between now and early February…
Jan 1 – Jan 6: Tokyo, Japan
Jan 8 – Jan 13: Seoul, South Korea
Jan 15 – Jan 20: Hong Kong
Jan 22 – Jan 27: Bangkok, Thailand
Jan 29 – Jan 30: Melbourne, Australia
Feb 1 – Feb 3: Sydney, Australia
Feb 5 – Feb 7: Mumbai, India
You’re welcome to contact me and set up a time for me to visit. I come free, with no agenda.
And in case you wondered what I’ve done so far…
VOA, who are doing interesting things with ‘radio with pictures‘
NPR, who has a very enlightened way of doing things
StreamTheWorld, who can fix the thing we most often screw up on our websites
CBC in Canada, who have an interesting way of getting interview questions
Arbitron, who busted a few myths about the PPM
Alcatraz – where radio was especially valuable
Vancouver, where everyone wanted to talk radio
…and an electronics shop, where at least one form of radio is nearly dead.
The dates above are subject to change, because I’ve a neat airplane ticket that lets me do that.
