It is funny when a searching for Frukt talk more crap comes up second in the google ranking. You would of thought Music Strategy & Communication would put some effort into a better list of Search Results.

I should mention that Frukt are cleverer than this makes them appear. First, they clearly care about their online brand, and reached out to email me - and, second, they wish to post a response, which of course I’ll not edit.

Thanks for telling it like it is. If theres an industry that’s ripe for a consumer revolt it’s the music indusrty.

Here in canada they’ve just got the right to collect a hefty tax on portable media players - to cover presumed illegal copying.

As someone who buys CD’s I feel had because I pay twice.

One way radio could help is to start to develop artists independent of the traditional music industry - as part of an internet and on air community development strategy.

Amen to your arguments about the music industry whose desperate attempts to maintain their already well feathered nests are amounting to treating their consumber base with ever growing contempt.

However, I particularly enjoyed “Steve”’s belief that radio DJs “help us navigate through music” and have a “traditional role as music selectors”. I’m sure most people reading this won’t need me to point out where he has that slightly wrong.
