I am employed by the BBC. Views expressed are personal, and not those of the BBC. As a senior manager within the BBC, it is to be expected that most of the time, I'll post in support of my employer and team; but not always.
I am the sole director and founder of Not At All Bad Ltd, which has a primary product, Media UK. Virtually all of the income to Not At All Bad Ltd is from Google AdSense. I have spoken at a Google AdSense conference as an (unpaid) guest, and use many Google products.
Under my direct control are small shareholdings in GCap Media plc, UBC plc, SMG plc, and Emap plc. My shareholdings in these companies total less than £2,000. The majority of my investments are in shares and funds which are controlled and monitored on my behalf by an investment company.
I speak at a wide variety of global conferences and events, usually on behalf of my employer. I accept assistance with travel and accommodation. I never accept speaking fees (and I request this money is given to my nominated charity).
I never accept payment (whether cash or in-kind) for blog postings.
During my work in the last twelve months, I occasionally receive product samples and minor hospitality - a free radio perhaps, or an invitation to drinks or a party. I will make this clear in postings around those companies if it is relevant and suitably recent.
