This is a full disclosure as at 16 May 2010.
I am the sole director and founder of Not At All Bad Ltd, which has a primary product, Media UK, and also operates a radio consultancy business. Virtually all of the income from Media UK is from Google AdSense. I have spoken at a Google AdSense conference as an (unpaid) guest, and use many Google products, some of which I pay for.
My current clients are:
- PURE, a company that makes DAB and internet radio products. I am working on their internet radio products.
- Global Radio, the UK's largest commercial radio operator. I am doing some strategic technical work.
- audioboo.com, where I'm a strategic advisor.
I am not authorised to speak on behalf of my clients, and views on my blog are my personal views.
I am a trustee and director of The Radio Academy Ltd, which is a registered charity dedicated to the encouragement, recognition and promotion of excellence in UK broadcasting and audio production.
Under my direct control are small shareholdings in UBC plc and STV Group plc. My shareholdings in these companies total less than £1,000. The majority of my investments are in shares and funds which are controlled and monitored on my behalf by an investment company.
I speak at a wide variety of global conferences and events. I accept assistance with travel and accommodation, and normally also request a speaking fee.
I do not make blog postings for payment (whether cash or in-kind). I occasionally receive product samples and minor hospitality - a free radio perhaps, or an invitation to drinks or a party. I will make this clear in postings around those companies if it is relevant and suitably recent.
When referencing books, CDs or other material, I sometimes link to Amazon.co.uk as a courtesy. I use an affiliate link in these instances.
